DUMPING ON HUMAN

                                         DUMPING ON HUMAN

Kilifi residents cry foul as the County Government Dumps on their door steps.

It is believed that a good environment is one of the interesting nature that brings joy to humans, but here in Maweni - Kilifi County, this is different as the residents are exposed to a dirty and unhealthy environment.
For more than 20 years now, the residents have been annoyed by the step taken by the County Government for setting the dumping site in the area. The region representative board in conjuction with the residents, have been struggling for tooth and nail urging the top leaders to set-off the site from the area, but their efforts were in vail.

Kiwe is one of the residents who is most affected by the site as  his home is just a few metres from the dumping area commonly termed as "The first Hell" by the residents. Him and his family are not aware of any other smell apart from the strong unpleasant odour blown  dusk to dawn  from the 'the first hell'
Moreover, the residents wants NEMA to set immediate action and implement laws and order to curb the hurting situation.
Despite of the resident's unlasting  cry, the County Government of Kilifi turned on a deaf ear.

Here it goes. First of all my life in University have been so amazing, but also challenges have been always on my side, not to weaken my strengths and burrying my dreams, but to make me strong in seeking the hidden golden skills and experience in MASS COMMUNICATION program. It feels like it was yesterday, as I clearly remember when I travelled all the way from my matrimonial home to the city for the first time in my life. Dozens of questions lingered in my mind when my eyes came in contact to a huge billboard of the Technical University of Mombasa. But finally, a single answer satisfied my thousand questions____"I was turning over a new leaf of my life." A cool photo taken after a TV practical lesson in the  media lab My first week in University was too harsh to me as I rememb...
